ITI Trade Electrician
As the name suggests, ITI Electrician trade focuses on various aspects of electricity such as wiring (residential, commercial and industrial), home appliances, electrical machines, lighting, electrical installations etc. The course thus aims at developing a skilled work-force of qualified electricians in India.

Duration: 2 Years.
Eligibility for Admission: Matric/10th
Skills Acquired
At the end of this course trainees shall be able to-
- Carry out wiring ckt. Earthing Installation, undertake, laying of domestic and industrial wiring with common electrical accessories.
- Carry out the necessary steps for grouping, charging and care & maintenance secondary batteries.
- Testing and maintenance of DC Machine (Motors and Generators).
- Install and connect transformers, parallel connection, carry out necessary maintenance, able to connect and use of CT & PT.
- Carry out installation, running and maintenance of alternators.
- Install different instruments for measurement of voltage, current, power, PF & energy, etc.
- Install, test and care & maintenance of different AC motors with DOL/Star-delta starters.
- Fault finding in simple electronic CKT. And controls attached in electrical systems/machines.

Railway, Electricity board, Telephone Department, Airport & Other Govt. & Semi Govt. institutions.
As an Electrician in Factories (Public & Private Sectors).
- In switch-gear factories.
- In winding garage/shops as motor and transformer winder.
- In Hotels, Resorts, Hospitals, Cinema Halls & Flats for installing electrical accessories.
- In Home appliances companies (like Bajaj, Philips, CG, & Kirloskar Etc) as service engineer.
